Chris & Mel

NSW, Castle Hill

I knew Chris had the ring and I was getting a little annoyed that he hadn’t proposed yet. The day before he proposed he had rung to ’remind’ me that we had made plans to go see a movie with my sister and her partner on the following night. A little annoyed as I didnt remember this conversation and another day without a proposal I figured I could at least wait until Saturday. On the Friday evening we arrived at my sisters (Kristys) place and the place was quite dim. While she was fixing something up in the kitchen she asked if I could pull the blinds up that led to the courtyard to bring some light in as she was busy. As I started drawing the blinds to the courtyard, a string quartet started playing one of our favourite songs (Dont stop believing, by Journey) The music was the most magical thing I had ever heard. Chris got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I said yes and all my close friends and family were hiding upstairs and screamed ’surprise’ after I had said yes. Chris picked it to a tee. He knew it would be something that I would love to celebrate with the my close family and friends and it was great to have them there on our special day. Chris also organised for my cousin to film the whole event so I get to watch it over and over again.
