I have been engaged to my partner for over a year now and we are getting married in September this year. It was my 21st birthday party I had it at a local club. My other half had me convinced he was buying me a car for my birthday because of the secretiveness that was going on. Later in the night I had forgotten about it all. It came to cutting my cake and speeches after they were said and done i noticed Nathan out of the corner of my eye walking towards me. In his hand he had a little mud cake with "will you marry me" written on it with a little red rose and the ring sitting on top of the rose. He got down on one knee in front of about 120 people and asked me. I was blown away that was the most sweetest and fairytale way I could ever imagine being asked. After it was said and done a friend asked what made him think of a cake? he replied "well I figured if she didn’t say yes and made me look like a fool, she was going to wear it" haha yes that is the sort of humour he has.
